Giving back to society has always been part of AKL's culture. Today, we are excited to introduce AgKaLia - our volunteering community! Inspired by the Greek word for "hug" and incorporating the initials of AKL, its name reflects our belief that meaningful impact begins when people come together to support one another.
We launched AgKaLia with our first volunteer action at EDRA Social Cooperative Activities for Vulnerable Groups in Ilion, in collaboration with Save Your Hood. Together, our volunteers assembled and painted a new bench, created colourful flower beds and planters, and helped transform the outdoor space into a more welcoming environment for the local community.
Alongside their hands-on contribution, AKL was proud to support the initiative with the resources needed to bring it to life, as well as a donation of medicines to EDRA's Social Pharmacy.
AgKaLia marks a new chapter in our ongoing CSR journey, and we look forward to welcoming even more people - including our colleagues' families and friends - into future initiatives as we continue creating a positive impact, together.
