For the third consecutive year, AKL welcomed a new group of law students, and also several high school students, to our summer internship program!
Over two weeks, nearly 20 participants explored four core practice areas - Banking & Finance, Corporate, Dispute Resolution, and Real Estate - working alongside our partners, associates, trainees, and interns.
Beyond legal knowledge, this year's program was an opportunity to discuss the broader role of lawyers and leaders. Our interns joined conversations on women's leadership in the legal profession, learned about AKL's CSR initiatives and our volunteering community, AgKaLia ("hug" in Greek), and met the team of Choose Life, who introduced them to the importance of bone marrow donation.
We were particularly encouraged to see several students express an interest in joining future “AgKaLia” initiatives.
Building opportunities for young talent to learn, ask questions, and experience life at a law firm firsthand is an investment worth making. An investment that continues to grow stronger every year. It energizes us, inspires us, and reminds us of our own first steps in the legal profession.
The program concluded - as all good summers should -with an orientation quiz, pizza, certificates, plenty of photos, and even more smiles.
Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and enthusiasm. We are already looking forward to welcoming next year's internships.
